GODIVA Drummer Forced To Sit Out ROYAL HUNT Tour

April 27, 2008

Due to family obligations, drummer Peter Gander of Swiss rockers GODIVA will be unable to join the band on its upcoming European tour with ROYAL HUNT and will be temporarily replaced by Stefan Schwarzmann (ACCEPT, HELLOWEEN, KROKUS, RUNNING WILD, U.D.O.)

Acclaimed '80s rock producer Beau Hill (RATT, WARRANT, ALICE COOPER, EUROPE, TWISTED SISTER, etc.) recently contacted GODIVA about working together. According to a press release, "GODIVA first couldn't believe it, when they got approached by Beau Hill himself. In Europe you don't get full acceptance by the industry and the media if you're a band from 'Cheese and Chocolate country Switzerland,' but it seems that in the USA it doesn't matter where you're from, just how good you are. It is a big honor for GODIVA that finally not only their work gets acknowledged, but by none other than Beau Hill."

Beau Hill has already completed some remixes of GODIVA's latest release, "Destruction", which can be heard on Hill's official web site. Beau is also said to be "very interested" in moving forward with GODIVA.

"Destruction" was released in September 2007 via Mausoleum Records.
