GODSMACK: New Video Interview Posted Online

GODSMACK capped its acclaimed tour with MÖTLEY CRÜE in style last month, scoring fifth No. 1 single at Active Rock, notching the coveted top spot at Active Rock and the Mediabase format with the band's first single in nearly three years, "Whiskey Hangover". The song was released sans album, a special gift to fans in celebration of the band's acclaimed live slot on this one of this summer's hottest rock tours. The tour finally wound down on September 5 in Darien Lake, New York, with critics like 411Mania.com hailing both the tour and "Whiskey Hangover" as vintage GODSMACK: "'Hangover' is a welcome return to the band's well-established sound. The new song arrived in mid-June as the first "sanctioned" GODSMACK offering since the band's widely acclaimed greatest-hits package, "Good Times Bad Times….Ten Years of Godsmack", was delivered to fans at the end of 2007. "Whiskey Hangover" reigns as a record-breaking 17th Top 10 single for the Boston band, extending GODSMACK's ownership of the most Top 10 hits in active rock history.
The next GODSMACK album will be the band's first collection of all-new material since 2006's "IV".
After GODSMACK released "Good Times, Bad Times - Ten Years of Godsmack", the band announced that it was going on hiatus. Singer Sully Erna worked on his solo album during this period, while the other three members of the group started a side project called ANOTHER ANIMAL.
