GORGOROTH Launch Search For New Drummer
May 28, 2004Norwegian black metallers GORGOROTH are currently looking for a drummer for their upcoming European tour, tentatively scheduled for this fall. "If you are interested you can send your demo tape, CD, video, CV, etc. to [guitarist] Infernus," the band write on their web site. "Contact him by e-mail ([email protected]) to get detailed information (postal address and such)."
As previously reported, the planned collaboration between GORGOROTH and drummer Kjetil "Frost" Haraldstad (SATYRICON, 1349) was cancelled earlier this month due to scheduling conflicts.
GORGOROTH drew international attention in early February after they were accused of "offending religious feelings" during a concert in Poland. The band were also suspected of breaching the Polish law on protection of animals by displaying the severed and impaled heads of sheep as part of their stage act.
Earlier this month, GORGOROTH singer Gaahl was sentenced to 18 months in a Norwegian prison on charges that he beat a 41-year-old man two years ago in what the victim called a ritual attack.
