GOTTHARD To Release 'Domino Effect' In April
February 14, 2007Swiss hard rockers GOTTHARD will release their new album, "Domino Effect", on April 27. According to singer Leo Leoni, "it is the best GOTTHARD album ever to be released".
GOTTHARD entered the studio late last year with producers Leoni and Ronald Prent (who worked with the band on their last effort, "Lipservice") to begin recording the new CD.
GOTTHARD last year scored its 10th consecutive No. 1 album in the band's home country of Switzerland. "Made in Switzerland" — which beat the latest releases from TOOL and PEARL JAM — is a CD/DVD set that contains 17 songs that were recorded during a concert at the Hallenstadion in Zürich in December 2005. In addition to the complete concert, the DVD includes "making-of" footage and many new photos.
GOTTHARD's latest studio effort, "Lipservice", was certified platinum in Switzerland in January 2006 for sales in excess of 40,000 copies. The ceremony took place in Zürich during the "PISA Finals."
"Lipservice" was released in Europe in June 2005 via G.Records/Nuclear Blast.
