GRAVEHILL Adds MATT HARVEY As Permanent Guitarist

July 29, 2010

California-based death metallers GRAVEHILL have tapped Matt "Hellfiend" Harvey (EXHUMED, DEKAPITATOR, REPULSION, CRETIN) as their new permanent guitarist.

"I'm definitely psyched to wage war against posers with the GRAVEHILL boys," Harvey said in a statement. "The [recently completed 'Campaign Of Death Metal Purity'] tour [also featuring HOD and CARDIAC ARREST] was great, and I'm looking forward to raging with Thorgrimm, Abominator, Bodybag, and CorpseMolester as much as possible!"

Hellfiend will contribute to the songwriting process for GRAVEHILL's next album, "When All Roads Lead To Hell", which will be released in November at Trench Studios in Santa Ana, California with producer John Haddad. The mixing mastering will be handled by Ryan Butler at Arcane Digital Recording while the artwork will be created by Jeff Zornow. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Unholy Executioner", "Suffer No Man to Live", "When All Roads Lead To Hell", "Devil Worshipper" and "War Prayers".

GRAVEHILL will open for ENTHRONED and DESTROYER 666 on August 14 at the Ultra Violet Lounge in Los Angeles and on August 15 at The Ramona Theater in Ramona, California. They will also support IMMOLATION and VADER on October 15 at The Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana, California.

GRAVEHILL's "Rites of the Pentagram" album was reissued on July 6 via Ibex Moon Records. The re-release comes with new packaging and includes the five-song "Metal of Death/Advocation of Murder & Suicide" EP.

Originally issued by Enucleation Records, "Rites of the Pentagram" is described in a press release as "how real death metal is done; no fruity keyboards, no emo or fake guttural vocals, no triggered drumming, no lame sub-par AT THE GATES wannabe riffs, no association with the word 'core' or a band name that is a sentence long and no cramming 5,000 riffs with political-themed lyrics."
