Greece's X-FEST Cancelled

May 31, 2006

The previously announced X-Fest that was going to take place in Athens on June 6, featuring DIO, IN FLAMES, TRIVIUM, HATEBREED, DARKSTAR and INNERWISH has been cancelled. A press release published by the organizers, Aenima, reads as follows:

"The Aenima team regrets to inform all fans that we re forced to proceed with the cancellation of the X-Fest Athens. Pre-sales of the event cannot help us proceed, regardless how much we love the music, respect the artists as well as all the people that supported the event! On our first effort to make a change and present something different, conditions were such that we need to reconsider. Honestly we don't doubt that the fest could have been the new Athens event for all of us that live with this music!

"We can assure one thing: X-Fest will return more powerful than ever, whether it's going to be a winter X-Fest or a two-day festival next summer! Whether it's going to be just sole shows or entire line ups! And please remember: What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger!"
