GRIFFIN: Singer PETE BECK Rejoins The Fold
July 27, 2004Norwegian metal act GRIFFIN have been rejoined by singer Pete Beck. "I got ill, and didn't think I was going to get well for a long time, and I didn't want to keep the guys waiting for me so I quit," Pete explained in a posting on the group's web site. "I got well very quickly, and started to miss the guys and the band, so we talked, and being the lucky bastard that I am, the guys wanted me back. I didn't mean to fool anyone, I just misjudged the seriousness of my illness, and made a mistake. I'm more ready than ever to rock, so don't turn your back on me, please. See you in Wacken!!"
GRIFFIN's latest full-length album, "No Holds Barred", was recorded at Skansen Lydstudio in Trondheim, Norway under the co-production guidance of CHILDREN OF BODOM frontman Alexi Laiho. In addition to co-producing the effort, Laiho laid down guest guitar and vocals on the CD, which was released in Norway through FaceFront Records.
