GRIM REAPER Frontman Says Guitarist BOWCOTT Will Not Take Part In Upcoming Shows

February 27, 2006

GRIM REAPER frontman Steve Grimmett has refuted a promoter's claim that the upcoming performance by the band at the Keep It True VI festival in Germany "will be a real GRIM REAPER show and not like the gig they played in Wacken [at the Wacken Open Air festival] some years ago."

"[I've] been informed by a few people that promoters are advertising this as a 'real GRIM REAPER reunion,'" Grimmett wrote in an e-mail to BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "It's not — Nick Bowcott [guitar] cannot make any of the gigs in Germany or Greece. We will be performing all GRIM REAPER songs, but a reunion I would not call it."

GRIM REAPER's performance at the Keep It True VI festival will take place on April 8 at Tauberfrankenhalle in Lauda-Königshofen, Germany. The band have also confirmed a one-off date at the Underworld Club in Athens, Greece on April 15. Support at the latter show wille come from DREAM WEAVER and BLOODSTAINED.
