Guitar Sculptures Signed by ROBERT PLANT, OZZY OSBOURNE Available For Bidding

October 10, 2007

Gibson GuitarTown London has announced that all 60 featured one-off, hand-painted and signed sculptures and guitars are now available for online absentee bidding at eBay Live Auctions.

Gibson GuitarTown London is a charity-inspired campaign bringing the power of music together with art to raise money for The Prince's Trust, Nordoff- Robbins Music Therapy and Teenage Cancer Trust. The proceeds from the auction sale of the 60 sculptures and guitars will be split equally among the three designated charities.

From June to September 2007, 30 hand-painted, free standing, 10-foot Gibson Les Paul replica guitar sculptures were on public display at More London on London's South Bank by City Hall, SE1. An additional 30 hand-painted and celebrity-signed regular-sized Gibson SG guitars were publicly displayed around The O2 in Greenwich. The associated visual artists, including Sir Peter Blake and the caricaturist Gerald Scarfe, collaborated with many of Britain’s best known and respected musicians exclusively for the Gibson Guitartown London charity campaign.

Each of the 10-foot Gibson Les Paul guitar sculptures has been personally signed by musicians such as Sir Paul McCartney, Brian May, Robert Plant, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, Rod Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne, James Blunt, and Mark Knopfler, to name a few.
