GUITAR WORLD Magazine Debuts METAL MIKE's 'Metal For Life' Guitar Column

In the April 2011 issue of Guitar World magazine (Jeff Beck cover),you can find the debut installment of "Metal For Life" column penned by "Metal" Mike Chlasciak. The column is a monthly feature showcasing concepts behind heavy metal guitar playing. "Metal For Life" highlights ideas straight from Mike as well techniques used by several other influential artists of the genre.

The first column, "Single String Carnage", showcases guitar riffs based off a single-string motif. Each example is played slow and fast and can be additionally found on the accompanied DVD found with each issue.

The April 2011 issue of Guitar World is on newsstands now.

Chlasciak makes a guest appearance on the debut solo album from PRIMAL FEAR's Ralf Scheepers. Out now on the Frontiers label, the CD features Mike alongside such other guests as Tim "Ripper" Owens (JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) and Snowy Shaw (KING DIAMOND, THERION).

"Metal" Mike is most commonly known as the guitarist for HALFORD. He has also spent time in TESTAMENT, SEBASTIAN BACH and is preparing his upcoming solo release, "The Metalworker".

Mike leads his own Metal Heroes Music Academy located at Aarius Studios in Sayreville, New Jersey. He is a scholarship graduate of Berklee College Of Music.
