GUNS N' ROSES Extends New Zealand Tour

May 22, 2007

Another show has just been announced for the New Zealand leg of the GUNS N' ROSES "Chinese Democracy World Tour".

The New Zealand tour will be extended from two Auckland shows to include another in Christchurch. The third and final show will be in Christchurch on Tuesday, July 3 at the Westpac Arena.

Australian promoter Paul Dainty said: "The response from New Zealand fans has been exceptional and we want to give them the opportunity to witness one of the biggest bands in the world for the first time ever in Christchurch.

"GUNS N' ROSES have not toured New Zealand since 1993 and have never played Christchurch so we expect tickets for the final show will sell out fast."

Tickets for the Christchurch show go on sale on Tuesday, June 5 through Ticketek.

GUNS N' ROSES New Zealand tour dates:

June 29 - Vector Arena, Auckland
June 30 - Vector Arena, Auckland
July 03 - Westpac Arena, Christchurch

Longtime GUNS N' ROSES associate Del James revealed in a February 2007 online posting that the group's new album, "Chinese Democracy", was in the "mixing" stage.

GUNS N' ROSES' "Greatest Hits" collection, which was originally issued in March of 2004, was certified triple-platinum on April 11, 2006 by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for shipments in excess of three million copies. The CD sold 8,000 copies in the United States last week alone (week ending May 13),bringing the total number of copies sold since its release to 3.58 million, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
