GUNS N' ROSES: Fresno Show Cancelled
December 12, 2006GUNS N' ROSES' show at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California on Wednesday, December 13 has been cancelled. "Sincere apologies go out to all the fans in Fresno who bought a ticket," the group writes in a press release. "We hope you can make it to the band's show in Oakland, CA at the Oracle Arena (formerly Oakland Arena) on Friday night the 15th of December, which will proceed as scheduled. Refunds for the Fresno show are available at point of purchase."
GUNS N' ROSES' long-awaited new album, "Chinese Democracy", which has been in works for more than a decade, is rumored to have cost more than $13 million, with singer Axl Rose reportedly funding a portion out of his own pocket after his label refused to give him more money.
A spokesperson for Universal Music Canada recently told the Toronto Sun that they have "no indication that a GUNS N' ROSES record will be released this year." Rumors were rampant this fall that the CD would surface on November 21. The group's management denied that, but hinted that the album could emerge before 2006 breathed its last second of possibility.
