GUNS N' ROSES Guitarist BUMBLEFOOT To Take Part In 'Wrestler's Rescue'
September 9, 2008GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Ron Thal (a.k.a. Bumblefoot) will take part in "Wrestler's Rescue", a unique two-event-in-one-day fundraiser to help retired professional wrestlers in taking care of their mounting personal medical and living costs. As most wrestlers are private contractors, they must pay their own medical expenses out of their own pocket, and have no income in times of injury or retirement.
On Saturday, September 14, 2008 a one day, a two-part benefit to assist these great athletes and entertainers will take place — a day meet-and-greet event and an evening dinner event with auctions, entertainment and more.
For more information on these two events, visit www.wrestlersrescue.com.
Thal recently inked a deal with DEEP/BCD Music Group. His latest CD, "Abnormal", which was released on July 1 via all digital outlets, will be made available in October. The DEEP/BCD Music Group version of the album will include an exclusive bonus track not available anywhere else.
"Abnormal", the follow-up to Thal's previous offering, "Normal", is a hard rock album flavored with a light-hearted mix of different styles and genres, with catchy hooks and blistering guitar work. It contains "17 powerful, well-delivered tracks" featuring Thal's "incredible lyrics and seriously intense skills on the guitar," according to a press release. Drawing influences from such diverse artists as the SEX PISTOLS, THE BEATLES and FRANK ZAPPA, the CD is "sure to appeal to fans of GUNS N' ROSES as well as musicians everywhere."
