The promoters of last Wednesday night's (September 1) GUNS N' ROSES concert in Dublin, in which the band showed up nearly an hour late, left after bottles were thrown onstage, and returned an hour later to play to a diminished crowd, issued an apology to concertgoers. The statement said that the promoters apologized "for any inconvenience caused due to late running of the show," adding that "the artist was prevented from leaving the venue by the promoter and following backstage discussions GUNS N' ROSES went back on stage."

This latest drama followed the controversial GUNS N' ROSES gigs at England's Reading and Leeds festivals, where the band came onstage late despite warnings from the promoters, and had both sets cut short.

Singer Axl Rose posted a series of messages on Twitter claiming that the band was under the impression that their curfew was to be extended, although promoters had clearly said earlier in the week that GUNS had to abide by local curfew regulations.
