GUNS N' ROSES: No Brazilian Tour Dates Confirmed
March 27, 2007Due to all the recent rumors regarding GUNS N' ROSES' visit to Brazil, the Brazilian promoter Mondo Entretinemento has issued a statement saying that there are no confirmed Brazilian GN'R dates at this moment. The shows will not happen in May 2007 like it has been rumored. As soon as the dates are finalized, the details will be announced by the promoter.
Longtime GUNS N' ROSES associate Del James revealed in a recent online posting that teh band's long-awaited new album, "Chinese Democracy", is currently in the "mixing" stage.
"Chinese Democracy" is the first GUNS N' ROSES album since the 1993 covers collection "The Spaghetti Incident". In the ensuing decade, the group has lost every original member besides singer Axl Rose and burned through a reported $13 million in recording expenses.
GUNS N' ROSES will headline South Africa's My Coke Festival in Johannesburg on April 27 and Cape Town on May 1. The band will also perform in Japan, Thailand, South Africa, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand.
