GUNS N' ROSES: Rock Am Ring Performance To Air On German TV

June 23, 2006

On August 11, German TV channel WDR will broadcast GUNS N' ROSES's show from the Rock Am Ring festival, which took place earlier this month in Nürburgring, Germany. The concert will air on the "Rockpalast" show on Friday, August 11 at 12:30 a.m.

As previously reported, GUNS N' ROSES were forced to postpone Wednesday night's (June 21) show in Zurich, Switzerland at the Hallenstadion. The band's drummer Brain (a.k.a. Brian Mantia) has had to return to San Francisco earlier than scheduled to be with his pregnant wife. The band have been travelling with understudy drummer Frank Ferrer and he will be ready to step in when the tour continues as scheduled on Saturday (June 24) with their next show at Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting. It is expected that Brain will return to the tour in approximately two weeks' time.

The band had a phenomenal show at Bercy in Paris Tuesday night (June 20) which they consider to be the best of the tour to date. During the exuberant performance, guitarist Robin Finck pulled his hamstring but will benefit from the extra day of rest and will be ready for Saturday. The Hallenstadion show in Zurich will now take place on July 1 and all tickets are valid.
