GWAR Frontman Featured In New Original Series On FEARnet

August 30, 2011

GWAR frontman and lead throat thing Oderus Urungus has just been confirmed to be a featured cast member on FEARnet's first original series, "Holliston". Oderus Urungus joins TWISTED SISTER's Dee Snider as well as stars Adam Green and Joe Lynch on the offbeat multicamera buddy comedy series created by Green. Described as "Big Bang Theory" meets "Evil Dead II", the show is set in the town of Holliston, Massachusetts, and follows the lives of Adam and Joe, two friends chasing the dream of becoming successful horror movie filmmakers while struggling to make ends meet in their post-college jobs at a Boston cable access station where they also host a late-night movie program called "The Movie Crypt". Urungus will play himself and is Adam's "imaginary" friend who happens to live in a closet and gives him advice that is extremely misguided and offensive. The six-episode series is slated to begin production in September.

Commented Oderus Urungus: "I am pleased beyond belief that the human race, and FEARnet, has finally recognized my acting ability and hired me as the star of Holliston. With Dee Snider on the cast, it's essential to have somebody that brings class to the proceedings...that class is me."
