GYPSY PISTOLEROS Sign With LIME RECORDS

June 24, 2009

U.K. flamenco sleaze rockers GYPSY PISTOLEROS have inked a deal with Lime Records for the release of their second album, "Welcome to the Hotel de la Muerte". The bulk of the recording sessions was completed at Robannas Studio in Birmingham with Miguel Seco while the main vocals and lead guitar were tracked at Mighty Atom Studio in Wales with producer Joe Gibb (JANE'S ADDICTION, CATATONIA, LEFTFIELD, THE KINKS, THE CURE, FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND).

Three rough-mix versions of songs that wil appear on the CD — the epic eight-minute ballad "Sangre de la Rosas" (featuring members of the Welsh National Orchestra; arranged by Joe Gibb),"Welcome to the Hotel de la Muerte" and the reworking of the Spanish flamenco classic "Son Ilusiones" — are available for streaming on the band's MySpace page.

Due to a delay in the recording process, "Welcome To The Hotel De La Muerte" will be released as a seven-track mini-album in time for the PISTOLEROS' main-stage appearances at Rocklahoma festival in the U.S.
