March 21, 2005

Finnish goth-metallers H.I.M. have lined up the following festival appearances during the coming months:

Jun. 03 - Rock Im Park - Nürnberg, GER
Jun. 05 - Rock Am Ring - Nürburgring, GER
Jun. 11 - Download Festival - Donington, UK
Jul. 09 - Ruisrock - Turku, FIN
Aug. 13 - Summer Sonic - Tokyo, JPN
Aug. 14 - Summer Sonic - Osaka, JPN

These will be the only festivals H.I.M. will play this year, according to a posting on the group's official web site.

As previously reported, H.I.M. will be releasing a new DVD, entitled "Love Metal Archives Vol. 1", in Europe in late April/early May. The disc will reportedly contain video or live versions of 53 songs, rare interviews and other special extras. No further information is currently available.

The new H.I.M. album, which is presently untitled, will reportedly be recorded at the Paramour studio in L.A. with producer Tim Palmer (OZZY OSBOURNE, SEPULTURA) and is expected to be released in September/October via Sire Records. H.I.M. frontman Ville Valo told the Finnish Iltalehti newspaper in early January that he planned to write 13 songs for the album over a two-month period, because "I do my best work under pressure," he reportedly said.
