H.I.M.: Riding High On European Charts
April 24, 2003H.I.M. have entered the Finnish and German Pop Album charts at position #1 with their latest release, "Love Metal". The group's fourth full-length album has also debuted at #11 in Sweden, #4 in Switzerland and #55 in the U.K.
The follow-up to 2001's "Deep Shadows And Brilliant Highlights", "Love Metal" marks a return to a heavier sound for the group, who were criticized by some for pursuing an overly pop-flavored direction on their last effort. "Love Metal" was mixed by Tim Palmer (OZZY OSBOURNE, SEPULTURA) at studios in Los Angeles and London and features 10 songs, including "Buried Alive by Love", the video to which was directed in December by Bam Margera of "Jackass" fame. A second video to "The Funeral of Hearts" was shot in Finland in January with director Stefan Lindfors.
