H.I.M. Set Release Date For 'Love Metal'
January 18, 2003Finnish goth metallers H.I.M. have set an April 14 European release date through BMG Records for their new album, "Love Metal".
The follow-up to 2001's "Deep Shadows And Brilliant Highlights" reportedly marks a return to a heavier sound for the group, who were criticized by some for pursuing an overly pop-flavored direction on their last effort.
"Love Metal" was mixed by Tim Palmer (OZZY OSBOURNE, SEPULTURA) at studios in Los Angeles and London and features 11 songs, including first single "Buried Alive by Love", the video to which was directed in December by Bam Margera of "Jackass" fame. A second video to a track called "Funeral of Hearts" was shot in Finland earlier this month with director Stefan Lindfors.
