H.I.M. To Play Pre-Launch Show In Germany

February 2, 2003

Finnish goth metallers H.I.M. have announced a pre-launch show for their upcoming album on March 8 at the Grosse Freiheit Club in Hamburg, Germany. This is the first time all songs featured on the forthcoming album will be performed live. The tickets are free and the group's official web site (www.heartagram.com) has 600 tickets for international distribution. There will also be additional tickets available through special competitions in Germany.

H.I.M.'s new album, "Love Metal", is due on April 14 through BMG Records. The follow-up to 2001's "Deep Shadows And Brilliant Highlights" reportedly marks a return to a heavier sound for the group, who were criticized by some for pursuing an overly pop-flavored direction on their last effort. "Love Metal" was mixed by Tim Palmer (OZZY OSBOURNE, SEPULTURA) at studios in Los Angeles and London and features 11 songs, including first single "Buried Alive by Love", the video to which was directed in December by Bam Margera of "Jackass" fame. A second video to a track called "Funeral of Hearts" was shot in Finland in January with director Stefan Lindfors.
