HAMMERFALL Frontman To Appear On Swedish TV

April 8, 2006

The following update has been posted at HAMMERFALL's official web site:

"On April 14th, Joacim [Cans, vocals] will participate in the TV4 show 'Rampfeber' ('Stage Fright'). There, he'll be teaching Uffe Larsson how to sing TWISTED SISTER's 'We're Not Gonna Take It'. For this, he needs backing vocalists of both sexes, so if you have this desire check out this link for more details on how to apply. The deadline is April 11th if you want to join Joacim and Uffe on stage on Friday, when the nationally televised show takes place.

"'Rampfeber' features celebrites getting paired up with artists who will try to teach them all aspects in how to perform, everything from clothes, choreography to how to use their voice the best and impress everyone watching. The result of the training then gets judged by a jury when they present their act on the show on Friday evenings, and they will decide whether the contesting duo was good enough to qualify for the next round."

HAMMERFALL are expected to enter the studio this summer to begin recording their new album for an October 2006 release. The band's latest CD, "Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken", was released in March 2005 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Crimson Thunder" was produced and mixed by Charlie Bauernfeind (BLIND GUARDIAN, HELLOWEEN).
