HAMMERFALL Singer Records ACCEPT Cover For ALTARIA CD

February 18, 2004

Finnish melodic metallers ALTARIA have revealed the identity of the "high-profile" vocalist who appears on their cover version of ACCEPT's "Balls To The Wall". According to a posting on the ALTARIA's official web site, HAMMERFALL vocalist Joacim Cans sings lead vocals on the song, which is set to be included as a bonus track on the limited-edition digipack version of their upcoming sophomore album, "Divinity". However, "once the first edition is sold out, there will be no further chances to get the bonus track," the band write, "[so] be sure to buy the album before the limited edition is completely sold out."

"Divinity" (view cover here) was mixed at Tico Tico Studio (SONATA ARCTICA, SENTENCED, FOR MY PAIN…) and is scheduled for release on May 24 through AOR Heaven sub-label Metal Heaven Records.

"Divinity" track listing:

01. Prophet Of Pestilence
02. Unchain The Rain
03. Darkened Highlight
04. Enemy
05. Falling Again
06. Divine
07. Haven
08. Try To Remember
09. Stain On The Switchblade
10. Discovery
11. Will To Live
12. Final Warning
13. Balls To The Wall (ACCEPT cover, bonus track)

ALTARIA, who recently parted ways with NIGHTWISH guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, will continue as four-piece, with the addition of a second guitarist (Petri Aho, formerly of BLINDSIDE) for forthcoming live shows.
