HAMMERFALL To Embark On Swedish Signing Tour

February 23, 2005

HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"A couple of items today. First off, we will be undertaking a signing tour in Sweden for the release of 'Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken', and it looks as follows:

March 4 - Göteborg Åhléns, Nordstan 17:00
March 7 - Uppsala Åhléns, Centrum 17:00
March 8 - Stockholm Åhléns, Drottninggatan 17:30
March 9 - Örebro Rocks Marieberg/Go-Carthallen 18:00

"Please note that the Örebro event will NOT take place at the record store, but at Go-Carthallen, where we also will race a number of (un-?)lucky fans. See you there!

"Secondly, we made the radio show 'Trackslistan' for the second time, on place 19 out of 20. This is a pretty cool thing considering not many people who listen to heavy metal listens to this programme, and the fact that BRITNEY SPEARS' new single was also new for the week and ended up as #20.

"'Blood Bound' is also scheduled for MTV Up North this week, and you can put your vote in at this location. We appreciate the support, and since this will mean more metal on TV, we all win!

"Incidentally, the song stayed in the Swedish charts a third week, now at pos. 15, making it the 5th, 12th and 15th most sold single in Sweden these weeks. Great news! Also, it ended up in the German charts, on our best position so far: #54. Swiss chart entry: 85. Not sure what to make of this, but the Hungarian chart also listed 'Blood Bound' as #4. Other items on the chart included the METALLICA and IRON MAIDEN documentary DVDs...

"That's it for now, we will start rehearsing for the live shows next week, and EVERGREY has been kind enough to lend us their positively gigantic rehearsal space. Thanks, guys!"

HAMMERFALL's new album, "Chapter V: Unbent, Unbowed, Unbroken", is scheduled for release on March 7 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Crimson Thunder" was produced and mixed by Charlie Bauernfeind (BLIND GUARDIAN, HELLOWEEN). A brand new HAMMERFALL e-card, featuring streaming audio samples of all 10 songs from the upcoming CD can be accessed at this location.
