HANOI ROCKS, NIGHTWISH Singers To Take Part In HELSINKI FESTIVAL Anniversary Celebration

June 1, 2008

HANOI ROCKS' Michael Monroe, NIGHTWISH's Anette Olzon and SUBURBAN TRIBE's Ville Tuomi are among the artists that are scheduled to perform at the upcoming free concert marking forty years of the Helsinki Festival, set to take place on the Night of the Arts Friday, August 22 at Helsinki's Senate Square. The program, featuring rock classics performed by top Finnish artists, will take the audience right back to 1968, the year the festival first began. The public can vote on its favorite songs until August 9 in the Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat.

All residents and visitors are invited to take part in the anniversary celebration, which is organized in partnership with Helsingin Sanomat.

(Thanks: Melica / Night Elves)
