HATE GALLERY Completes Writing New Album

April 24, 2009

HATE GALLERY, the Finnish/British/Swedish rock band featuring Janne Jarvis and Rille Lundell from WARRIOR SOUL, has issued the following update:

"It's April 22 and it's safe to say that the follow up to 'Compassion Fatigue' [HATE GALLERY's debut album] is written. We've managed to hit a powerful creative flow this year despite our touring schedule and we promise something very, very special before the year is out.

"This is not just 'another' record. This is most definitely a statement...

"We will bring the campaign for 'Compassion Fatigue' to an end over the summer and will be releasing 'New God' as a single and video.

"For those of you who already own the album, this version of 'New God' will be a little different. Bolder and revised for 2009...

"I'd [Janne] like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have bought the record, stole the record, listened to the record and enjoyed the music. I'd like to also extend the cold hand of death to those who tried to hinder us. The liars, lowlives and malignant scum who lurk at the bottom of the pit of music business pestilence..fuck you for an eternity.

"The title of the next record says it all... I'd love to give it away... but I can't."

HATE GALLERY's "The Idiots" video can be viewed below. The track is taken from "Compassion Fatigue", which was released on November 3, 2008 through the Unit music label, distributed by Cargo and Sony/BMG.

Jarvis commented: "'The Idiots' is just a general reaction to reality TV, the cult of celebrity and more seriously the everday surveillance of the citizen by our governments. The cameras are everywhere. What? Me paranoid? Fuck off."

HATE GALLERY was formed by principal songwriter and driving force Janne Jarvis, who states that "I want this band to be the kind of group that stands out from the crowd. I don't want us to be associated with any kind of scene, with any other band that happens to be either Swedish or English. I don't want us to be associated with any one place. I don't want us to be thought of in terms of either fashion or trends."

Vocalist/bassist Janne first tasted rock 'n' roll success in great British rock band RADIATOR, which created a huge rock industry buzz when it emerged in the late Nineties. The group signed to EMI Records, which released the RADIATOR debut album to great reviews. The band was then fortunate enough to tour with the likes of QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MOTÖRHEAD, BACKYARD BABIES, PITCHSHIFTER and countless others.

Within a month of the birth of HATE GALLERY, Rille and Janne had recruited crazed Finnish guitarist Petja Lepola (a virtuoso automaton, affectionately known as "The Hat") and sticksman Freddie Cocker, former drummer in Swedish pop-rockers THE CALLAHAN. A month later the band had signed to the Unit music label and went into the studio to record "Compassion Fatigue".
