HATEBREED, LAMB OF GOD In Portland: Interview, Performance Footage Available
July 30, 2010Portland, Oregon's heavy metal radio show "Metalopolis", hosted by former WHITE ZOMBIE drummer Ivan de Prume, conducted an interview with vocalist Jamey Jasta or Connecticut hardcore/metal masters HATEBREED on July 12, 2010 when the band played in Portland, Oregon with LAMB OF GOD and 3 INCHES OF BLOOD. "Metalopolis" can be heard every Saturday night from 10:00 p.m. to midnight in Portland on 101.1 KUFO, or it can be streamed live from the KUFO web site anywhere else in the world.
The new self-titled album from HATEBREED sold 15,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 37 on The Billboard 200 chart.
HATEBREED's last collection of new material, "Supremacy", opened with around 27,000 copies back in September 2006 to land at No. 31. This number was roughly in line with the first-week tally registered by its predecessor, "Rise Of Brutality", which shifted more than 32,000 copies back in November 2003 to debut at No. 30.
"Hatebreed" was released in North America on September 29, 2009 via E1 Music (formerly KOCH Records). The effort was made available on CD, digital download, vinyl and special edition with a bonus 65-minute DVD.
"Hatebreed" was issued on Roadrunner in all other territories.
LAMB OF GOD recently released the "Hourglass" collection, a career-retrospective set that is available in seven different configurations.
LAMB OF GOD received a second Grammy Award nomination in the "Best Metal Performance" category — for the track "Set to Fail" from its latest album, "Wrath", which came out last year on Epic Records.
The band was previously nominated in the "Best Metal Performance" category for the song "Redneck" from LAMB OF GOD's 2006 album "Sacrament".
"Wrath" landed at position No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart back in February 2009 with first-week sales of over 67,000 copies.
