HATESPHERE: 'The Sickness Within' To Receive U.S. Release In September

May 1, 2006

SPV Records has set a September 12, 2006 North American release date for the new HATESPHERE album, entitled "The Sickness Within". The follow-up to 2004's "Ballet of the Brute", which was released in Europe last September, was recorded in part at Jailhouse Studios with producer Tommy Hansen (HELLOWEEN, PRETTY MAIDS). Guitars and bass were recorded at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark, with producer Jacob Hansen (RAUNCHY, INVOCATOR). This dynamic duo was also responsible for the production on the band's last effort, "The Killing EP", which was released in January 2005. Included on the album is a guest appearance by NEVERMORE guitarist Steve Smyth (ex-TESTAMENT) on the song "Marked by Darkness".

As previously reported, HATESPHERE have been confirmed for this year's Roskilde Festival, set to take place June 29 – July 2 in Roskilde, Denmark. Also scheduled to appear are GUNS N' ROSES, TOOL, DEFTONES, OPETH, H.I.M., TRIVIUM, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, BURST and VOLBEAT.
