HAUNTED SHORES: New Song Posted Online

July 11, 2008

Washington D.C. death/thrash band HAUNTED SHORES has posted a rough-mix version of a new track called "Torrential" on its MySpace page. The song is expected to appear on the group's new EP, which is currently being recorded at Planet Red Studios with producer Chris Dowhan (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, REFLUX, HASTE THE DAY, CASSIUS, GIANT). The material on the CD — which will feature a guest appearance by Alan Simpson (THIS TIME IT'S WAR) — "is shaping up to be stronger than we could've imagined," according to the group. "It's a bit different than what we brought on [2007's] 'Maelstrom'; more dynamic and focused, but it still thrashes like 1984. As for length, it will be 5-7 brand new songs, none of which have been named or played live (with the exception of the song played in the video [seen below], with a working title of 'Chainsaw Gutf*ck', a not-so-subtle ode to MAYHEM)."

HAUNTED SHORES is:

Nicholas Dodd - Lead Vocals, Guitar
Mark Holcomb - Guitar
Jeff Holcomb - Bass Guitar, Vocals
Chris Hiebert – Drums
