HEATHENDOM: 'The Symbolist' Video Released

February 11, 2011

"The Symbolist", the new video from the Greek dark power metal band HEATHENDOM, can be viewed below. The clip was produced and directed by the band's guitarists, Lefteris Vourliotis and Michail Vlavianos.

"The Symbolist" is the title track of HEATHENDOM's second full-length album, which was recently released via Metal On Metal Records. The CD can "be best described as dark, intense and haunting power metal (and power metal of U.S. and Scandinavian character)," according to a press release. "The band shed some doom elements in favor of technical thrash elements and delved even further into the horror movie soundtrack territories, incorporating classical instrumentation into their intricate, multi-layered arrangements."

HEATHENDOM will officially launch its new album live on March 13 in Athens. The show will take place at the 7 Sins club (formerly Sin City),with DISHARMONY, SOLID FAITH and X-PIRAL as the support acts.

In July 2010, Metal On Metal Records re-released HEATHENDOM's debut album, "Nescience", which was issued in 2008 as the label's second release 10 years after the band's formation.
