HEAVEN AND HELL Drummer: This Was 'The Best Tour This Band Has Ever Done'

November 27, 2007

Legendary drummer Vinny Appice (HEAVEN AND HELL, DIO, BLACK SABBATH) has issued the following update:

"Well, the HEAVEN AND HELL tour has finally ended after performing 98 shows in 98 cities in numerous countries around the world. Not bad! It was the best tour this band has ever done and just playing with these guys again was totally amazing. No one in this band has ever let up or let down in all the years of playing together; it just kicked ass every night! I had the pleasure of trying to destroy the drums every night playing some of the heaviest rock classics in rock. Nice!

"A big thanks to all the fans and family who have made this gathering a success and big thanks to the management and crew who made it happen."

An audio interview with legendary BLACK SABBATH/HEAVEN AND HELL guitarist Tony Iommi conducted in October by Burhanudin Bin Buang (a.k.a. Brader Bo),host of "Vicious Volume", the only metal radio show in Singapore (airing on RIA 89.7FM),is available for download at this location.

HEAVEN AND HELL — the band featuring Iommi, BLACK SABBATH bassist Geezer Butler, singer Ronnie James Dio, and Vinny Appice — is currently in discussions with various record labels about recording a brand new studio album in 2008. More information will be made available soon.

HEAVEN AND HELL played the final show of its U.S. tour with ALICE COOPER and QUEENSRŸCHE on October 6 at the Verizon Wireless in Irvine, California. Before the encore, Indie 103.1's Full Metal Jackie presented the band with gold plaques on stage to honor U.S. sales in excess of 25,000 copies of the group's "Live at Radio City Music Hall" DVD. Vocalist Ronnie James Dio thanked the fans for their support, then dedicated the encore song ("Neon Knights") to veteran KNAC DJ Tawn Mastrey, who died in early October of liver failure brought on by hepatitis C.
