HEAVEN AND HELL To Headline Bulgaria's KALIAKRA ROCK FEST

March 2, 2007

HEAVEN AND HELL — the band made up of BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler, singer Ronnie James Dio, and drummer Vinny Appice (BLACK SABBATH, DIO) — will headline the first night of the traditional Bulgarian rock festival Kaliakra Rock Fest, which takes place every year in the coastal city of Kavarna.

The event will take place from June 28 to June 30. Also rumored to appear at the festival is MOTÖRHEAD.

HEAVEN AND HELL will play only two concerts on the Balkans — one in Kavarna and another one in the Greek capital of Athens.

As previously reported, HEAVEN AND HELL will be the featured guests on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" airing Wednesday, April 11. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to call in with questions during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625). HEAVEN AND HELL drummer Vinny Appice has been telling the press in recent interviews that HEAVEN AND HELL will be touring the U.S. sooner (around April-May) than the late summer plans (August) the band had originally announced.

HEAVEN AND HELL's only confirmed U.S. concert this spring is currently scheduled for March 30 at the Radio City Music Hall (capacity: 6,000) in New York City. Tickets for that show officially sold out approximately 45 minutes after tickets went on sale on January 26.

HEAVEN AND HELL will kick off a world tour with 11 Canadian dates beginning March 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wrapping up March 28 in Ottawa, with opening acts MEGADETH and DOWN. Additional U.S. dates will come later in the year.

The shows are expected to only feature material from Dio's era with BLACK SABBATH, including three new songs that were recorded for the upcoming anthology "Black Sabbath: The Dio Years" that's due April 3.
