HEAVEN AND HELL Tops POLLSTAR's Top 50 Tours Chart

February 7, 2007

HEAVEN AND HELL — the band made up of BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler, singer Ronnie James Dio, and drummer Vinny Appice (BLACK SABBATH, DIO) — has topped Pollstar magazine's Top 50 chart (issue date February 12, page 36),which tracks the ebb and flow of popular tours. The chart is compiled according to the number of times the artist's tour itinerary is requested by fans visiting the Pollstar.com web site. The band takes the first place slot ahead of GWEN STEFANI at No. 2, TOOL at No. 3, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS at No. 4 and BOB SEGER & THE SILVER BULLET BAND at No. 5.

HEAVEN AND HELL's sole U.S. concert this spring, which is scheduled for March 30 at the Radio City Music Hall (capacity: 6,000) in New York City, officially sold out approximately 45 minutes after tickets went on sale on January 26.

HEAVEN AND HELL will kick off a world tour with 11 Canadian dates beginning March 11 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and wrapping up March 28 in Ottawa, with opening acts MEGADETH and DOWN. Additional U.S. dates will come later in the year.

The shows are expected to only feature material from Dio's era with BLACK SABBATH, including three new songs that were recorded for the upcoming anthology "Black Sabbath: The Dio Years" that's due April 3.

HEAVEN AND HELL is also planning to his Europe and Asia, and the band expects to be on the road until the end of the year.

As BLABBERMOUTH.NET first reported yesterday, Vinny Appice will be conducting a drum clinic at Long & McQuade in Toronto, Ontario, Canada (925 Bloor St. West) on Friday, March 23 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
