HELION Announces Return Of Guitarist KIMMO KORHONEN

March 17, 2009

Finnish melodic metal band HELION has been rejoined by guitarist Kimmo Korhonen (WALTARI, SOLACIDE, MAIDEN HELL). Guitarist Jaakko Kunnas (who is now also handling vocal duties in the band, explains: "We'll be needing a qualified guitarist to hit the stage with us. And as we all know, Kimmo is more than qualified. So we asked him, and we are more than glad that he agreed to join forces with us. We understand this desicion may rise questions, and in order to cut wings from any hearsay... This is official: What we got back then was a failure to communicate. Shame and pity. But now we've talked things over, and that's that. We've turned over the board, and the pieces are set for a new round."

HELION parted ways with singer Simo Autio last spring.

The band's "Bad Dreams and Broken Shadows" EP was released last year. It was recorded at The Cave and was mixed and mastered at Studio Sound Supreme by Janne Saksa.
