HELLMOUTH Begins Recording Debut Album

September 23, 2008

Michigan's HELLMOUTH entered the studio this past weekend to start recording its full-length debut, "Destroy Everything. Worship Nothing", tentatively due before the end of the year via Ferret Music. According to the band, "we're putting down 14 tracks of bile, filth and distortion. We tracked for 20 hours over the weekend and got a lot done. We're working with Marc Hudson and couldn't be happier with how things are turning out. We'll be tracking more piss and venom over the next few weeks and should hopefully have a CD released before the year is done. The artwork will be sick. A very esteemed metal artist is painting a cover for us right now. It's horrifying."

With nods to bands like CELTIC FROST, BLACK FLAG, VENOM, BLACK SABBATH and DISFEAR, HELLMOUTH is drawing from its members' past while carving its own disgusting sound. HELLMOUTH's grim reality could only have been spawned from the likes of Detroit. With the worst economy in the country, corrupt politicians and Ted Nugent, it's no wonder the members music turned out this raw and punishing.
