HELLOWEEN Issues Tour Update: Photos, Video Footage Available

July 16, 2008

German power metallers HELLOWEEN have issued the following update:

"The unforeseeable factor — the weather — affected HELLOWEEN's performance at this year's Metalcamp festival in Slovenia. Due to heavy rains and strong winds, the festival was stopped prior to the band's performance on Sunday, July 6. But thanks to the many capable helpers, the concert could be played and the band has been welcomed by many thousand thankful fans. A couple of days later, HELLOWEEN successfully co-headlined the Norway Rock Festival just before the performance of the headliner ALICE COOPER. July 13, HELLOWEEN were headliners at the new festival Rockin' Transylvania in Sibiu, Romania. Entering the stage after the German colleagues of AXXIS and DORO, the band finally could be there for their countless Romanian fans. As previously reported, the band's performance in Bucharest, Romania during the band's Hellish Rock Tour last year couldn't take place due to the loss of the venue through the local promoter."

HELLOWEEN's Japanese record label, JVC Victor, released a special two-CD version of the band's latest album, "Gambling with the Devil", on January 23. Disc One contains the regular LP — complete with the Japan-only bonus track "We Unite" — while the second CD includes the European bonus cut "See the Night" and the previously unreleased demo version of "As Long As I Fall". SPV/Steamhammer also released "Gambling with the Devil" on two-LP gatefold vinyl on February 8.
