HELLOWEEN: Road Update
January 3, 2008HELLOWEEN's web site has been updated with the following message:
"After successful appearances in Sweden and Finland, 3,500 fans have welcomed HELLOWEEN and GAMMA RAY at the first concert on the Czech part of the Hellish Rock tour in the Lokomotiva Sports Hall in Plzen.
"Together with the Swedish opening act SABATON both of the bands delivered the goods in a big way.
"The new HELLOWEEN single, 'As Long As I Fall', the medley containing famous parts of such big HELLOWEEN hits like 'Perfect Gentleman', 'Where The Rain Grows', 'I Can' or 'Power' and the classic 'March Of Time' were among the highlights of the night while the HELLOWEEN/GAMMA RAY jam session at the end of the night almost caused a riot.
"During 'Future World' and 'I Want Out', the walls of the venue were shaking. The already sold-out concert in Zlín and a very successful performance in Pardubice followed. The tour continued with two concerts in the Slovakian Republic where the bands were playing in front of almost 5,000 crazy Slovakian fans.
"Back in Germany, two days before Christmas, HELLOWEEN and GAMMA RAY — together with AXXIS — sold out the All Karthalle in Kaufbeuren.
"The tour will continue into 2008 this Saturday with the first of two concerts in Paris.
"Meanwhile the concert in Osaka of the Japanese portion of the Hellish Rock tour is already sold out."
HELLOWEEN's new album, "Gambling with the Devil", consists of eleven songs (plus an intro, spoken by SAXON's Biff Byford) with a total playing time of 57 minutes and 40 seconds. For their many faithful fans, there is also a limited first edition (40,000 units in a digipak with an embossed and stamped slipcase, which was released in Europe, and 10,000 units in a jewel case in the U.S.) with a bonus CD featuring two extra tracks, the video for the first single "As Long As I Fall", and a "making-of" of the video, including interview sequences.
