HELLYEAH Bassist Interviewed At NAMM; Video Available

February 17, 2010

HELLYEAH/ex-DAMAGEPLAN bassist Bob "Zilla" Kakaha was interviewed by Metal Sanaz at this year's NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants) show, which was held January 14-17, 2010 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. The chat, which originally aired as part of Dean Guitars' "Live from NAMM" webcast, can be viewed below.

In a recent interview with Affliction Clothing's web channel "Affliction Vision", HELLYEAH drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott revealed that he and his bandmates have already recorded about three-quarters of their next album. Vinnie promised that the work they've done so far on the record is "great," and said fans should expect an album by June, with an 18-month tour to kick off in May.

HELLYEAH has been confirmed for this year's 98 Rockfest, set to take place April 24 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida. The band will also perform at WJRR's Earthday Birthday 17: Almost Legal on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Tinker Field in Orlando, Florida.

The hard rock "supergroup," which also features MUDVAYNE singer Chad Gray and guitarist Greg Tribbett, and NOTHINGFACE axeman Tom Maxwell, issued its 2007 debut through Epic Records.

Abbott, who bounced back with HELLYEAH from the devastating 2004 murder of his brother and bandmate "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, said about the band, "The guys from HELLYEAH and the incredible music we've created have brought me back to what I love . . . The vibe is positive with a kick-your-ass attitude."

HELLYEAH's self-titled debut has sold more than 350,000 copies since arriving in April 2007.
