HELLYEAH Forced To Cancel ROCK AM RING Appearance

June 5, 2010

HELLYEAH has been forced to cancel tonight's (Saturday, June 5) appearance at the Rock Am Ring festival in Nürburg, Germany due to a family emergency vocalist Chad Gray had to fly back home for. The band previously called off its June 3 concert at Melkweg in Amsterdam, Holland for the same reason.

Commented the group in a statement: "We will be hanging out [at the Rock Am Ring festival] on site [on Saturday] so make sure you come by and have a drink with us.

"Good news is Chad will be flying from the U.S. to make it back for our Sunday [June 6] show at the Rock Im Park festival."

Chad released the following statement regarding the show cancellations:

"I just want to thank all our fans and friends for your kind words during my family emergency. It really meant a lot to me to have your support. I'm bummed that I will miss another show at Rock Am Ring, but I can't wait to get back on the tour starting this Sunday and kick some major ass in Europe!!! And don't worry for those of you we couldn't play for... we will make it up you in the fall!!"

"Hell Of A Time", the first official single from the new HELLYEAH album "Stampede", is available for streaming below (courtesy of AOL's Noisecreep).

"Hell Of A Time" arrived at rock radio stations on Tuesday (June 1). Chad Gray told The Pulse of Radio that the concept behind the song is as simple as it gets. "'Hell Of A Time''s about that, man — it's just about, it's about what we are," he said. "I don't think that any song on the record encapsulates the record, you know, like, as a whole, like this one song is the whole record. But I think that 'Hell Of A Time' kind of encapsulates us, kind of what HELLYEAH is. Not so much the record, but what we are as people."

The band recently shot music videos for "Hell Of A Time" and "Cowboy Way" at the Longhorn Saloon in Fort Worth, Texas.

"Stampede" will be released in North America on July 13. The "super deluxe" edition of the CD will feature the album itself, a bonus DVD, a limited-edition lenticular 3D cover with an expanded booklet, a HELLYEAH bull skull, instant downloads of the album tracks "Cowboy Way" and "Hell Of A Time" on June 1 and an MP3 download of the full album on June 29, two weeks prior to its official release date. The standard "deluxe edition" will contain the album, a bonus DVD, instant downloads of the album tracks "Cowboy Way" and "Hell Of A Time" on June 1 and an MP3 download of the full album on June 29.
