HELLYEAH: New Video Message

July 13, 2010

The second album from HELLYEAH, called "Stampede", arrives in stores on Tuesday (July 13) and follows up the band's self-titled 2007 debut. The heavy rock supergroup recorded the disc at the Dallas home of drummer and producer Vinnie Paul Abbott, a situation which singer Chad Gray told The Pulse of Radio took some getting used to. "I think at the end of the day it all worked out really well, you know," he said. "It was just an adjustment, you know. I'm just a big 'don't fix it if it ain't broke' kind of guy, and we just kind of did something else and it kind of threw a wrench in it. But it was awesome in that, I mean, the record turned out so amazing that I'm just very, very proud of it. I'm very, very happy with it."

In addition to Gray and former PANTERA drummer Abbott, HELLYEAH's lineup includes Gray's MUDVAYNE bandmate and guitarist Greg Tribbett, NOTHINGFACE axeman Tom Maxwell, and DAMAGEPLAN bassist Bob Kakaha.

The band's self-titled 2007 debut has sold more than 350,000 copies.

HELLYEAH has four Texas shows coming up on July 21 in Lubbock, July 23 in Tyler, July 24 in San Antonio and July 25 in Corpus Christi.

Following that, the band will play the Sturgis Bike Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota on August 9 and begin the Uproar Festival tour with DISTURBED, STONE SOUR and AVENGED SEVENFOLD on August 17 in Minneapolis.
