HELLYEAH To Guest On SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO's 'Hard Files'

August 13, 2007

HELLYEAH will guest on the "Hard Files" program on Sirius Satellite Radio's Hard Attack this Thursday, August 16 at 7:00 p.m. EST. Rebroadcasts: Fridays at noon ET, Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. ET and Sundays at 6:00 p.m. ET. Join host Jose Mangin plus Vinnie Paul, Chad Gray, Greg Tribbett, Tom Maxwell and Bob "Zilla" Kakaha as they go over everything from their debut record, their current stint on this summer's Family Values, what happened to their old bass player, drinkin' skills, to what the future holds for this American super metal group.

HELLYEAH has posted a video online for "Alcohaulin'Ass", the second single from the group's self-titled debut album. Singer Chad Gray told The Pulse of Radio that the song came about one night when he and guitarist Greg Tribbett were working in the studio once co-owned by late PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott. "I've heard a lot of Dime's four-track stuff," he said. "He wrote a lot of ditty kind of songs and I think that that was kind of one of his offerings to this, 'cause we always kind of felt like we had an angel on our shoulder, especially being in his space, and it was just me and Greg, you know, that were in there that night, and I really kind of feel some Dime inspiration — that kind of tongue-in-cheek kind of, it's humorous, you know, kind of thing. But it just works, man. It's a rad song. We love it."

The video for the song is mostly made up of live footage from the band's recent tours of the U.S., the U.K., Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to MUDVAYNE members Gray and Tribbett, HELLYEAH features Dimebag Darrell's brother and former PANTERA drummer Vinnie Paul, NOTHINGFACE guitarist Tom Maxwell and DAMAGEPLAN bassist Bob "Zilla" Kakaha.

The band's debut disc has sold 155,000 copies since coming out in April.

HELLYEAH is currently on the Family Values tour with KORN, EVANESCENCE and others. The trek stops on Tuesday (August 14) in West Palm Beach, Florida.
