Commented HELSTAR vocalist James Rivera : "Finally home from touring Europe with HELSTAR; a total of 11 shows within 8 countries and I'm now feeling back to normal again!!!

"All of the shows were killer from the beginning of the tour to the last drop in Milan, which really kicked our asses!!!

"First time in London and Poland for HELSTAR = priceless!!!!! As for Alcatraz festival in Belgium, three shows in the Netherlands, two shows in Greece, one in Innsbruck, Austria and our only Germany show in Essen, as always, was filled with metal and love from fans and friends!

"To say all went smooth... well, come on, we are a metal band! What metal band tours without a few small complications? But that is all part of the fun! If it all went smooth, it would be boring!!! LOL! It's the adventure and surprises that keeps us doing this!!!

"Thanks to all the promoters, venues, staff on our crew, bookers and most of all the fans. We love you and we'll see you again."

HELSTAR bassist Jerry Abarca is currently undergoing more testing to diagnose and treat his stomach-related illness. Abarca has announced he will take a hiatus from performing live until his health has fully returned and doctors have pronounced him fit for stage.

Abarca first fell ill during HELSTAR's December 2010 "European Chaos" tour and was flown home to Texas, while Slovenian bassist Matej Susnik was then recruited to complete the trek.

HELSTAR once again enlisted the services of Susnik on the recently completed European tour.

The band released its latest album, "Glory Of Chaos", in November 2010 via Germany's AFM Records.

Formed in Houston in the early '80s, HELSTAR cut its teeth playing backyard parties and small club gigs. It soon became apparent that HELSTAR had much more to offer then its contemporaries. Combat Records snapped up the band and released HELSTAR's debut, "Burning Star", in 1984. Next came "Remnants of War", followed by HELSTAR's breakthrough album, "A Distant Thunder", in 1988. The success of "A Distant Thunder" ultimately set up HELSTAR's most critically acclaimed album, 1989's "Nosferatu".
