HELSTAR: 'Remnants Of War' Lineup To Reunite For ROBB'S METALWORKS SHOWCASE

March 1, 2006

San Antonio's longest-standing metal institution and STUF-TV regional program "Robb's Metalworks" has just announced its lineup for their yearly event. 2006 will see the fourth annual Robb's MetalWorks Showcase in San Antonio bring to the masses the 20-year reunion of the "Remnants of War" lineup of HELSTAR.

"Remants of War", originally released in 1986, marked HELSTAR's second release for Combat Records and brought the band out of the Houston/San Antonio metal underground with national tours and classics such as "Suicidal Nightmare", "Conquest" and "Evil Reign". The reunion marks an especially defining moment in the band's history, with chief songwriters James Rivera, Jerry Abarca and Larry Barragan coming together once again after years of competitive rivalry. To celebrate the event, the band also plans to perform the "Remnants of War" release from beginning to end. With the event scheduled for Saturday, June 10 at the White Rabbit in San Antonio the show is sure to be a huge suceess, as national sponsors, such as Metal Blade Records, Gold's Gym and The Flyer Saucer have jumped on board to support the event. Also confirmed in support of HELSTAR will be PHANTOM-X (led by OMEN frontman Kevin Goocher),Dallas thrash legends ROTTING CORPSE, Austin's black symphonic metal band VESPERIAN SORROW, and San Antonio's own NO BALLADS.
