HENRY ROLLINS: 'I Like To Be On The Road More Often Than Not'

November 17, 2007

Punk rock icon Henry Rollins has issued the following update:

"I have just returned from the first leg of the Provoked Tour.

"Before I say anything else, I wanted to thank all of you who showed up. Also, to all the people I met out by the bus after the show, thanks for sticking around, it was good to meet you all. I know that some of the performances were a little long and I am sorry about that but there was a lot I wanted to say. I hope you have all recovered by now. The tour will resume in January and go fairly non-stop until May. There will be dates in Europe, South Africa, North America and Australia. When dates firm up, we will post them on the website. Hopefully the shows in South Africa will be filmed for an IFC [Independent Film Channel] special.

"It's hard to believe the year is almost over. I have been going non-stop since January 1st. The show on IFC was a lot of work but well worth it as I think we did a good season, I gave a lot of time to the radio show I have in Indie 103 as well. In between working, I tried to get out and travel as much as I could. As many of you probably know, I went to Israel, Jordan, Iran, Syria and Lebanon this year. All these places were fascinating and informative. I was also in England, Scotland, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Dubai and Australia. Hopefully, next year will be as busy as this one. I like to be on the road more often than not.

"Again, thanks for showing up at the shows and thanks for your letters and general kindness. I'll see you down on the road."
