HIGH ON FIRE Announce U.S. Headlining Tour

HIGH ON FIRE have announced their first headlining tour of 2005 in support of their forthcoming new album, "Blessed Black Wings". HIGH ON FIRE will kick off a three-week trek beginning February 4 at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles, CA. The tour is expected to conclude on February 24 in Salt Lake City, UT with additional dates pending.

Support on the HIGH ON FIRE tour will be provided by PLANES MISTAKEN FOR STARS and KYLESA. Immediately after, HIGH ON FIRE will make a high-profile appearance as part of the 2005 Noise Pop Festival in San Francisco, where the band will perform alongside acts such as THE POLYPHONIC SPREE, AMON TOBIN and THE FUCKING CHAMPS.

HIGH ON FIRE's "Blessed Black Wings" is set for a February 1 U.S. release via Relapse. The follow-up to the band's critically acclaimed "Surrounded By Thieves" was recorded at Chicago's Electrical Audio Studios with engineer Steve Albini (NIRVANA, NEUROSIS, JESUS LIZARD).
