HOLLENTHON, TÝR: Hamburg Performances Being Streamed Live
October 9, 2008Tonight's (Thursday, October 9) performances by HOLLENTHON and TÝR at Markthalle in Hamburg, Germany are being streamed live on the Hamburger Morgenpost web site at this location. The four bands are currently on the road in Europe as part of the Aaskereia - The Wild Hunt Tour 2008.
HOLLENTHON's new album, "Opus Magnum", was released on June 10 in North America via the Austrian record label Napalm Records. The CD features eight songs and a cover version, plus a video.
HOLLENTHON issued two critically acclaimed albums nearly a decade ago — "Domus Mundi" (1999) and "With Vilest Of Worms To Dwell" (2001).
TÝR's new album, "Land", was released on May 30 (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy),June 2 (rest of Europe) and in North America on June 10 via Napalm Records. According to the band, the follow-up to 2006's "Ragnarok" "contains mostly Faeroese, but also Icelandic and Norwegian traditionals, re-arranged into heavy metal. The second most prevalent language is English." The CD was recorded at Jacob Hansen's (RAUNCHY, ROB ROCK, HATESPHERE, MERCENARY) studio in Ribe, Denmark.
