HOPESFALL To Hit The Road With THE RECEIVING END OF SIRENS

June 18, 2007

Charlotte, North Carolina's HOPESFALL has announced that it will be heading out on tour this August with THE RECEIVING END OF SIRENS. This is HOPESFALL's first tour in several years, and vocalist Jay Forrest explains the reasons for the lull in their travels. "Besides Brazil, our last real U.S. tour was Warped Tour 2005," he says. "We had basically been touring for four years straight and needed a break. We had a period of six months when we didn’t have a drummer, and after that, when we got Jason, we settled in and started writing and recording 'Magnetic North' (for almost a year)."

HOPESFALL is excited to get back on the road, especially with THE RECEIVING END OF SIRENS, whom they met briefly on that last Warped Tour jaunt. "I'm a really big fan of THE RECEIVING END OF SIRENS, and have been following their career trajectory ever since we first met them. We are really psyched to be going out with them, and ready to play the new material live for the first time," Forrest says. "We got some flack for 'A-Types' but the fan reaction to this album has been overwhelmingly positive, and we're ready to get out there."

"Magnetic Nort" was recorded at Vudu Studios in Long Island, NY with producer Mike Watts (THE JUNIOR VARSITY, AS TALL AS LIONS, etc) and is the follow up to 2004's "A-Types", which furthered the melodic elements and replaced the aggression with a more mature and calculated attack.
