HOURCAST To Hit The Road With 30 SECONDS TO MARS

June 28, 2006

After a successful series of live performances with SEVENDUST, Boston electronic rockers HOURCAST will join 30 SECONDS TO MARS on a nationwide U.S. tour for the duration of the summer. Newcomers on the hard rock scene, HOURCAST blend unique elements of computerized rock and heavy metal to create a unique and often somber sound on their debut album, "State of Disgrace".

"We had no preconceptions as to what the band would sound like," says vocalist Patrick McBride. The members of HOURCASTMcBride, drummer Jerry Clews, guitarist David Henriquez and bassist David Sullivan — have combined their varied influences to incorporate the heavy flavor of DEFTONES and TOOL with the dark electronic atmosphere of NINE INCH NAILS and DEPECHE MODE.

"Freeze", the first single from "State of Disgrace", is accompanied by an innovative animated video that has already received play on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" and Fuse's "Oven Fresh". Hard Drive Radio, XM and Music Choice have all begun playing HOURCAST's music as well.

SEVENDUST drummer Morgan Rose says about HOURCAST: "One of my favorite bans out right now period! Killer musicianship with tasty hooks. A band to watch out for. For sure!!!!!"

Not being signed to a label could serve as a liability to some bands, but not HOURCAST. "We didn't have a label telling us what to do and that allowed us to add variety and flavor to the album," says McBride. HOURCAST is a band looking to gain ground in the current music scene. "Myspace and live shows are definitely helping us to build a fan base."
