March 20, 2010Taking time out from production on their new album, "Judgement", HYDROGYN members Julie Westlake (vocals),Jeff Westlake (guitar) and Jeff Young (guitar; ex-MEGADETH) jammed out for friends and fans on St. Patrick's Day at Quaker Steak and Lube in Charleston, West Virginia. The latest addition to HYDROGYN, Jeff Young brings his renowned shredding virtuosity, as evident on the classic and fan favorite MEGADETH album "So Far, So Good… So What!" (Capitol Records, 1988). Jeff joins Julie, Jeff Westlake and New York-based KHZ drummer Joe Migz. Together, they plan to take HYDROGYN on a full-on global assault in 2010.
Sharing bass tracks on "Judgement" will be fretless six-string bass wonder Jake Wolf and surprise new addition, powerhouse bassist James Lomenzo, best known for his acclaimed work in WHITE LION, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and, most recently, MEGADETH.
HYDROGYN is in the midst of tracking and writing for the self-produced album with the aim for a summer release. The first single, "The Right Thing Now", will be mixed with famed producer Michael Wagener (SKID ROW, METALLICA, EXTREME) during the last week of April.
